Gym membership at Storiestrong is capped at 150. That keeps the floor clear, the equipment available, and a coach within reach during every staffed session. Coaching and programming operate on separate rosters, each matched to what a coach can carry without the work suffering.
Coaches are on the floor during staffed sessions, not at the front desk. That presence is not an add-on. It is how this place operates.
Every new client starts with a consult. You do not get a program after you sign up. You get one before. Not a sales tactic. We need to understand what you are actually working with before anything else happens.

In mid-2019, Alex Damcevski had spent eighteen months coaching at a local gym when the owners decided to close it. He had watched closely during that time, close enough to understand what a coaching environment needed to be, and close enough to see how rarely it actually was. The gap was obvious. What to do about it took slightly longer to land, and then it did not.
He pitched Max Gaudry. Max said yes. On 1 July 2019, they opened Storiestrong out of a 240m² tin shed at 29 Storie Street, Clontarf. The name came from the street. The standard came from them.
By 2021, the gym had grown into something they had not planned on paper but had always been aiming for. They rebranded as Storiestrong HQ, moved from number 29 to 22a on the same street, into a building with seven-metre ceilings and the room to hold the ambition. In 2024, they expanded again. 400m² across two buildings. The coaching model stayed the same. The standard stayed the same. There was just more space to run it in.
"The goal is for every person who trains at Storiestrong to feel genuinely stronger, physically and mentally, and to leave so changed by the experience that they cannot help but tell the people around them." Alex Damcevski & Max Gaudry, Co-FoundersMeet the Team
Calibrated plates, specialty bars, smooth cables, OG Nautilus Nitro machines. No waiting for a rack. 24/7 access. Coaches are on the floor during staffed hours, at no extra charge.
Strip the plates. Reset the cables. Wipe down the bench. This is shared space, and it works because everyone treats it that way.
The warm-up matters. The check-in matters. Do not skip the parts of your program that feel unimportant. Those are usually the parts working hardest.
The coaches here are accountable for your results. The members next to you are investing the same time and money. The staff built something worth looking after. Treat it accordingly.
If something is broken, flag it. If you are not recovering, say so. If the program is not working, ask. Communication is not a complaint. It is how progress happens.
