Built from scratch.
Because it had to exist.

Storiestrong HQ opened on 1 July 2019 out of a 240m² tin shed on Storie Street, Clontarf. Six years later, we operate a 400m² fully equipped strength and conditioning facility. Same street. Completely different scale.

We were built around one belief: genuine coaching attention produces results that commercial gyms simply cannot replicate. Not because of equipment. Because of what happens between a coach who's actually watching and an athlete who's finally being seen.

"When coaches want a coach, they come here. That's not a coincidence."

Experienced Athletes

Your effort isn't the problem.

You've been training consistently. Spending real money on it. And the results aren't adding up. That's not a motivation problem. That's a coaching problem. We fix that.

I started at 115kg with a busted shoulder. Ten months later I've lost 7kg and I'm stronger than ever before. There's not a single gym like this one.

Best gym I've ever been to. The people are amazing and the equipment is second to none. It's not just for elite lifters either — everyone is encouraging regardless of whether you're a beginner or advanced. Very knowledgeable and highly recommended.

Storie Strong is more than just a gym — it's a home. The atmosphere is incredible, the community is like family, and the support is unmatched. If you're chasing strength gains and need top-tier coaching, don't look anywhere else. This is the place.

Details

The questions we actually get asked.

If yours is not here, ask it. We answer them ourselves.

Are you open 24/7?

The gym runs 24/7. Once you are set up, you have access any hour you like, including 4am on a public holiday if that is your thing.

Staffed hours are when a coach is actually on the floor: Monday to Thursday 6 to 10am and 4 to 7pm, Friday 6 to 10am, Saturday 7 to 10am. Sunday is unstaffed. Outside those hours the gym is still yours, there is just nobody to talk to.

Do I need to be a member to get coaching?

No. Coaching and membership are separate, and you can take either one on its own.

Plenty of people we coach train somewhere else entirely, either on online coaching or on programming they run at their own gym. Others hold a membership and never take a session. If you want both, the combined packages work out cheaper than paying for the two separately.

How much does coaching cost?

Programming starts at $50 a week and ranges up from there depending on how much help you need.

We would rather sit down and work out how we can help you reach what you are chasing than hand you a list of features and a price. Book a call and we will talk it through properly.

Do I need to be a powerlifter to train here?

No, and most people here are not.

Powerlifting is part of what we do and we run our own competitions, but the floor is full of people training for general strength, for sport, for a return from injury, or simply because they want to be strong. The equipment is built for serious training. That does not mean the room is built for one kind of athlete.

If the assumption that this is a specialist powerlifting gym has put you off, come and stand in it for ten minutes.

Do you have female coaches?

Yes. Chay coaches both face-to-face and online, and she has capacity to take on more clients.

Around 30% of the people training here are women, across both membership and coaching. If having a female coach matters to you, say so when you get in touch and we will book you in with her.

Still deciding. That is what the call is for.
